Are you in a hurry to write your book but still need to learn Scrivener

Let Me Teach You How to Use Scrivener Like a Pro

. . . So that you can spend more time writing instead of figuring out your software

From the desk of KAZZ PRINCE.

Cape Town, South Africa.

Dear Friend,

The developers of Scrivener are very close to releasing Scrivener 3 for Windows but course creators have been asked not to create courses until it has been officially released. The developers do not want to release the software until it is perfect, and might make last minute changes, in which case our instructions might be misleading.

In the mean time, as no one knows how long the upgrade will take, and you might want to get started straight away, I am selling my original course covering the current version of Scrivener for Windows and Mac for only US$20.

If you want to learn Scrivener fast, look no further. Watch over my shoulder as I show you how to do everything step-by-step and you will find that it is not nearly as hard as you have been lead to believe.

I also found it confusing at first because I tried to wing it, and only reverted to the internet for instructions when I got really stuck. I wasted days figuring things out because no post or YouTube video told the whole story, so eventually, I read the user’s manual in proper sequence.

That Changed Everything

My writing took off like a rocket because I could focus 100% on what I wanted to say rather than stopping to think about how to use my software.

But reading a user’s manual is not for everyone. We all know that showing, rather than telling, is the easiest way to explain things so I decided to create a step-by-step self-paced video course designed to help writers maximize their time.

To be honest, it is not possible to learn the whole of Scrivener in a couple of hours because there are too many features.

So when people claim to be able to show you in 10 minutes on YouTube or create a one hour course, be careful that they are not leaving out some vital setting that’s going to cause you a whole lot of headbanging later on.

You have to know which template to start out in because the templates come preconfigured with custom folders and important settings for each kind of project:

Novel Template:

Screenplay Template:

Scrivener is a one-stop application for organizing and writing several different types of long-form projects. It comes with some essential functions used for all kinds of writing but each type of writing comes with their own set of optional functions on top of that.

Luckily, nobody ever needs to learn everything. A novelist will need a completely different set of functions and controls than a screenwriter.

If you enroll in my video course you don’t have to waste time figuring it all out.

Binge watch to see:

  • Which template to start out in to get the best settings for your project.
  • What functions suit your type of writing best.
  • Sit back and watch as info-tainment to make sure you don’t miss out on cool features just because you haven't seen them in action before.
  • Then go back and pick out only the lessons you want to learn.

Once your project is underway and you are feeling more confident you can put aside the time to learn all the cool features that make Scrivener such fun to work with and become as much of an expert as you want.

So with that understood ... let me jump right in and show you ...

Exactly What You're Getting.

This course is broken into two Parts -

The Essentials:

You need to run through all of the essentials part right up to compiling for export, then, months or even years later, once you have written and edited your book you can come back and learn how to format and export it.

Hint: While writing your book you use whatever formatting you like best for writing and then the compile menu formats it for you according to what kind of book you want to export.

  • Learn to open a Scrivener project using the best template for your kind of writing.

  • Find out how to customize your toolbar so that you only see the tools that you are most likely to need, but know where to find the rest of the tools if you want to use them frequently.

  • Take a quick tour of the three main working areas and what they are used for so that you get a general idea of how Scrivener works; where you keep your folders, where you do your writing and where you find your metadata such as labels or keywords.

  • Scrivener has several different view modes where your documents rearrange themselves to suit the task you are performing. Learn about the different view modes to see why and when you would want to use them.

  • Set your language to U.S. English, U.K. English or a different language of your choice.

  • Learn about the Binder which is where you store all the documents belonging to a project instead of having them scattered in different places on your computer. See what folders come preconfigured with your template, how to create new ones, customize their icons, and how to import documents from other software or the internet.

  • Scrivener has powerful search tools. In the basic part of this course, I cover the ones that everyone needs to use. (I cover the more adventurous features in the Exploring Further part of the course.)

  • From the Inspector window of Scrivener you can create bookmarks to link internal or external documents to your project, create snapshots of your documents in case you don’t like your subsequent edits and want to roll back to a previous version, apply comments and footnotes to your documents and assign labels and status stamps to your documents to track categories or progress.

Stop there and write your book. When it is properly edited go back to:

  • Compiling for export. Everything you need to compile for export comes preconfigured within your template in Scrivener and if you follow my step-by-step instructions you can export an industry standard eBook, paperback or the standard manuscript format you send to your agent or publisher.

And that might be all you will ever need but we both know you will not want to stop there.

Once you get started you are going to want to explore further . . .

Exploring Further:

Notice how I did not call it advanced because the features covered here are not advanced, or in any way more difficult to learn than the basics; just optional.

Here's just a fraction of what you're getting...:

  • How to import from other writing applications and mind maps with your work already split into chapters and scenes.

  • Separate your manuscript into collections where you can work on batches of documents together without disturbing their hierarchy in your Binder.

  • If you like to count words you can learn how to set word count targets for documents, your whole project, or how many words you want to write in a day. See in an instant how many characters you have in your Twitter comment or anywhere else where character count is restricted.

  • Apply formatting styles to your text and automatically update all blocks with the same style applied to them with the click of a button.

  • How to use Scrivener's word frequency tool so that you don't overuse favorite words.

  • How to use Scrivener's Character Name Generator for those times when you need foreign names, exotic names or quick name ideas for bit characters.

  • Scrivener automatically creates backup copies of your projects to your hard drive. I will show you how to find your backups, customize and manage them, how to redirect your backup files to backup in the cloud for extra security, how to open up and activate a Dropbox account, how to save your backups and your actual projects to Dropbox, how to retrieve your backup files in case of computer mishap and how to work on your projects via Dropbox if you want to switch between computers.

  • Professional screenplays or plays must follow strict formatting rules. With Scrivener’s built-in formatting I will show you how to access these conventions with a click of a button even if you don’t know how to format a screenplay.

  • If you are the kind of writer who likes to customize your space with favorite fonts and colors I will show you how to customize the user interface as well as your corkboard.

  • If you are not 100% happy with Scrivener's preconfigured formatting I will show you how to use the Compile Format Designer to customize the formatting of your eBook or Paperback book completely before you export it.

And much, much, more!

But you know what you'll really love?

Once you get good at Scrivener, two things will happen.

First, you'll begin to hardly notice the software as you instinctively know where to enter your new ideas and how to manage them.

And secondly, you will start to write much faster as you will spend less time hunting around your computer environment for all the components of your project because they will all be right inside your project

So if you want to use Scrivener seamlessly . . .

Here's What to do Next.

Hit the button below to get a full 5 hour course covering the current version of Scrivener for only US$20.

There is no Catch!

I'm literally giving you this entire course, for $20, even though it covers most of what you will ever need to learn about Scrivener.

My hope is that you'll love the way I teach and come back to me when you want to learn Scrivener 3 for Windows once it is released, or how to create your book cover, or your own video courses.

But with all that said, there is ONE thing to keep in mind:"

Time is of the Essence

Not my time, really . . . Yours.

Your writing time is too precious to spend in technical overwhelm and hunting around the inter-webs for solutions. And that’s why you need to get this course today.

I can’t learn the software for you, but I can make learning it considerably easier by showing you how it’s done. And the sooner you start, the sooner you will be using Scrivener like a pro and hardly notice it running in the background.

This is not a limited time offer. This is a permanently cheap offer because I don’t want you to get stuck and waste time, or start writing in a less awesome app while you wait for this course to go on sale and then have to transfer your work.

I want you to start in Scrivener right away while you are at your most passionate. Get stuck in and write your book while you have all those ideas buzzing inside your head . . .

"Oh. And in case you're wondering ...

Of Course There's a Money-back Guarantee

If you decide the writing life is not for you, or you would rather stick to Microsoft Word than learn new software, as marvelous as it is, I offer a 30-day money back guarantee. All you have to do is email me and I will reverse your payment.

If you are serious about your writing and you want to learn Scrivener the easy way, click on the button and I will show you exactly how.

Thanks for taking the time to read this letter and I hope to see you on the inside.

P.S. In case you're one of those people (like me) who just skip to the end of the letter, here's the deal:
